Creating timeless, livable spaces that reflect your life with sophistication and calm.
Where timeless design meets the moments that matter most
Two Sisters Designs is a Houston-based interior design studio led by Carol Cernosek, one of the most trusted interior designers Houston has to offer. Our approach blends sophistication, comfort, and intention, creating spaces that feel timeless, livable, and deeply personal. Every detail is considered, from balance and texture to color and light, ensuring your home feels both beautifully designed and effortlessly lived in.
After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Houston, Carol expanded her creative foundation with studies in Photography and Art History. Her appreciation for composition, texture, and visual storytelling inspired a natural transition into interior design and led her to pursue a second degree in the field.
With years of hands-on project experience and a background rooted in the fine arts, Carol approaches every home as a thoughtfully curated collaboration. Her work is grounded in balance, beauty, and intention, resulting in interiors that feel warm, refined, and timeless.
"We thoroughly recommend Carol Cernosek with Two Sisters Designs. She has helped us with several home improvement projects, most recently with our kitchen upgrade, and we are totally satisfied. She has a good eye for detail, listened to our input, and communicated her ideas well. She was onsite everyday to check on quality and did everything she could to make sure we were satisfied. The craftsmen and specialists she uses are excellent. We will use her again."

Thoughtful, Refined Homes Rooted in Local Style
Houston’s architecture and neighborhoods are incredibly diverse. From the classic homes in West University to ranch-style layouts in Briargrove and the modern new builds in the Heights, every area carries its own personality. A thoughtful designer understands how to honor that character while introducing fresh ideas that elevate the space. Our studio blends timeless design principles with a local perspective, ensuring each home feels naturally connected to Houston’s style and lifestyle.
Creating a beautiful home in Houston requires more than a good eye. It takes an understanding of how families live here, how our homes are built, how the climate shapes design decisions, and how to bring both comfort and sophistication into one cohesive vision. As interior designers Houston homeowners trust, our work is grounded in a deep appreciation for this city and the way people live, gather, and create memories inside their homes.
Working as interior designers in Houston also means designing with intention for our climate. We balance natural light, durable materials, and functional layouts so your home stays comfortable year-round. We pay attention to details that matter for Houston living, such as choosing fabrics that hold up in humidity, selecting finishes that age gracefully, and planning spaces that support both relaxed daily routines and elevated entertaining.
